I'll add more to this review as I get more experience, just purchased today. My fibromyalgia has caused a steep decline in mobility, and we rented a Literider 4 wheel for a week to see if a scooter would be a viable option. Learned a lot of things that week that helped pick a long term decision, and the Buzzaround Extreme is what we decided after a lot of feature and price comparison. This has the range and speed of the Lightrider, but not the weight. Husband is loving how much lighter this is to load the pieces in the car. I needed a model with suspension, which limited my choices. The ground clearance of this model vs the Pride, and also the range are really what decided me. I was a little worried about the stability of a 3 wheel after getting used to a 4 wheel, but so far no problem and the turning radius is a dream. I know it's a little bigger than the tiny GoGo's, but I was able to do a u-turn in the aisle at WalMart (don't judge, went there to do a better test drive after buying, I knew they would be accessible!) so it should be nimble enough for me since I only need it when going out, not around the house. The larger wheels and better motor will allow me to take it into grass and hard packed dirt with no problems.
Very nice, complete kit. Well packaged. Complete. Quite a value for what is included. Fat tire version would be nice, as well as a stripped out version that did not include the basket or tires. Hubs and the rack with the diff and brakes, could then different rims/ tires could be laced onto the hubs. Would recommend and buy again.
I would buy this kit again. Jim was very help on one of the dimensions I need to make sure that the kit would fit my bike. I converted a adult tricycle by adding a front wheel mounted electric hub motor. This trike had conventional pull brakes and did not stop the electric trike very well. This kit allowed me to add disc brakes to the trike. There were no written installation instructions and the recommended video does not cover some of he details It was necessary to spread the rear of the frame out in order to get the new axle in. Some of the bolts that attached the brakes to the long and kept the disc brakes from turning with the wheels. The kit arrived quickly and was undamaged, but the packaging was not the best. I bought alight brake handle that allows for two brake cables and a wire to disconnect the drive motor. The 20 inch wheels look a little awkward on a 26-trike. The welds and the paint are good. New brake cables are provided but the sleeves for the cable we’re not, so I had to buy a new cable and sleeve to reach the rear brake. If you are going to install this kit, it would be helpful if you have worked on bicycles before. All in all I am happy with my purchase.
